well, we're back...

that's right, back from rockridge. it's an amazing place and the new lake is well worth the 13 hour drive to see. grayson did quite well in the new environment, but he was ecstatic to be home again. when we got home, he ran around the house screaming at the top of his lungs. i put him on our bed shortly after we got in the house, and he laid down on his tummy and thrashed around while doing his trademark "bah bah bah".

rockridge is an amazing facility. it's obvious that young life is trying to provide an atmosphere of excellence and showering of blessing on all who walk the grounds. going to rockridge is like going to a place reserved only for the elite, knowing that you don't deserve to have any of it. i'm reserving final thoughts about the place until i see a camp with kids and how God uses this place in my new mission here in grande prairie.

but how appropriate is that: an elite place we don't deserve, being given with open invitation. life with God is a wonderful thing, and it's something offered freely. oh, it has a cost, the cost of life, however the returns are far more. the kingdom of God moves forward in the hearts of men, women, and children. adoption into the family of God is no laughing matter. my experience of God at rockridge reminded me of that. God's Grace is amazing, and His kingdom is offered for us now - not later - and thank God that there are little pictures of that as we move ahead.

my project for this weekend is to set up a photobucket account, and we'll have pictures available to view. until then...
