i'm stuck right now

i'm stuck right now, and it really really sucks. i'm in the middle of finishing my sunday lifegroup lesson for my junior high classes that run every sunday. we've only got 2 weekends left until they're done for the summer, and i've got writer's block...

but in the midst of this, i've been struck by a piece of scripture that is stumping me. "
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 14:17, NLT)" the thing that strikes me here is the joy part. joy is tough for me to communicate, because i'm not sure i really have experienced that part of life with God. it seems like the joy comes part and parcel with the life of righteousness, and i believe that joy and happiness are connected but not the same thing. but i wouldn't say that i've really gotten a big taste of what joy is. so how do i communicate to a bunch of kids that the kingdom is moved forward with joy?

if living in a Kingdom mentality means living in a mentality of joy, then what does that look like? if it's connected to righteousness (or living a life of goodness) then how does a person connect with that? i know every person has different experiences and experiences God in different ways, but sometimes i just want God to hand me all of the different experiences on a silver platter.

walking along...

I'm sorry your stumped. I'm glad though that I don't have to do the writing. I love you baby.

You might think about Galatians 5...I think if you consider Joy as a fruit of the Spirit you might be able to unlock this a bit. In the meantime keep thinking and writing you've obviously got a good thing going!
